Treatment plans with pay-as-you-go visits
BOC’s treatment plans let a patient pay a long treatment in parts: switch on Treatment Plan for a service, and the patient pays any amount at each visit while BOC carries the remaining balance to the next appointment. The cashier card, the appointment drawer, the client file, the calendar, and Dr. Room all mark these visits, on the web and in the BOC app, and for dental work the dental chart keeps a Treatment Plan / Remaining list of the teeth still to treat.
What it does
In Business Setup, Services and Pricing, the price form has an Include row with switches for Resource, Staff, Variant, and Treatment Plan. Treatment Plan is saved on the service itself, so it covers every price row of that service. With it on, the patient can pay part of the service cost at each visit, any amount they choose, and that amount is deducted from their balance. With it off, the full service cost is due at every session.
On the cashier screen, a Treatment plan badge sits next to the service on the visit card, so the cashier knows a partial payment is expected. The same badge shows in the appointment drawer and on the client file, and the calendar card reads Treatment in place of a price. When the visit is paid in part and the next appointment is set with Set Next Appointment, BOC uses what is left as the price of that next visit and keeps its VIP flag, and payments taken later keep the two visits in step.
Following the balance
On the customer file, treatment-plan visits show the plan’s money instead of a single session price: Total Cost, Paid, and Remaining, with the price before and after any discount. Dental visits show Treatment plan total, Plan remaining, Amount Due, and Paid this session. Reception reads the balance straight from the file, with every visit of the plan listed in date order.
In Dr. Room, the payment strip shows Due, Paid, Remaining, and Planned for the visit in front of the doctor. Edit price offers Price for this visit, which changes this appointment only, or a Discount percentage, each with a Dr note for the cashier. On a treatment-plan visit, BOC explains that the discount applies to the whole treatment plan, and the remaining services use the same percentage. View Visit Price, Edit Session Price, and Edit Discount are separate permissions.
Dental treatment plans per tooth
When the dental chart is on, the Dental Chart tab groups tooth work into History / Done Work, Preparing, and Treatment Plan / Remaining. Planned work, such as a porcelain crown on tooth 26, stays in the treatment plan until it is done, and View full treatment plan opens the whole list for that patient.
In Dr. Room, a dental visit shows Planned for all the work booked on the visit and Due for the work marked done, so the patient pays for what was finished today while the rest of the plan stays visible to the doctor and the cashier.
How it works in BOC
- Open the service pricing. Go to Business Setup, Services and Pricing, and add or edit the service price.
- Switch on Treatment Plan. In the Include row, turn on Treatment Plan and save.
- Book and treat. Book the visit as usual. The cashier card shows a Treatment plan badge next to the service.
- Take part of the payment. At the cashier, the patient pays any amount, and the rest stays on the balance.
- Set the next appointment. Use Set Next Appointment, and BOC prices the next visit at the remaining balance.

Questions
Can patients pay for a treatment in installments?
Yes. Switch on Treatment Plan for the service, and the patient can pay any amount at each visit. BOC deducts it from their balance and carries the rest to the next appointment.
How do I make a service a treatment plan?
Go to Business Setup, Services and Pricing, open the service price, and turn on Treatment Plan in the Include row. Save, and every visit for that service follows the plan rules.
Where can I see what the patient still owes?
On the customer file, each treatment-plan visit shows the total, the amount paid, and what remains. The cashier card and Dr. Room show Due, Paid, and Remaining for the visit in front of you.
What happens to the balance at the next visit?
When you set the next appointment, BOC uses the remaining balance as that visit’s price. Payments taken later keep the next visit in step.
Does BOC have a dental treatment plan?
Yes. The Dental Chart tab lists planned tooth work under Treatment Plan / Remaining, next to Preparing and History / Done Work, with a link to view the full treatment plan.
How is a treatment plan different from a package?
A package sells a set number of sessions at a set price with an expiry date. A treatment plan keeps one service price and lets the patient pay it in parts, visit by visit.
Do treatment plans work in the BOC app?
Yes. The BOC app for iPhone and Android has the Treatment Plan switch in pricing, the badge on the cashier card, the plan total, paid, and remaining on the client file, and Planned in Dr. Room.
