Services and pricing by staff, resource, and variant
BOC’s Services and Pricing is where your clinic lists every service with its calendar color and sets the price for each combination of resource, staff member, and variant, with separate VIP prices, on the web or in the BOC app. When staff book a visit, those options appear as choices and the matching price fills in.
What it does
Services and Pricing is a tab in Business Setup. It lists your services, such as Laser Hair Removal, Underarms Laser, Hydrating Facial, Swedish Massage, Doctor Consultation, and Dental Cleaning, each with its color dot. Open a row to see its price options by resource, staff, and variant, or use the buttons to edit it, add it to other branches with its booking rules and prices, or delete it. Add Service Pricing creates a new one, and Dental Service opens the dental procedure price list.
On the Create Service Pricing form, pick a service or press Create Service to make one, give it a color, and set the price in your first currency, shown as Price (USD) in the demo clinic. Under Include, four switches decide what the price depends on. Resource sets a price for each room, machine, or chair. Staff sets a price for each staff member. Variant sets a price for each version of the service, such as Full Body, Half Legs, Underarms, or Beard Line. Treatment Plan lets the client pay any amount at each visit, taken off their balance, instead of the full cost every session.
With the switches on, each price row names a resource, a staff member, and a variant with its own price, and Add Another Option adds the next row. A laser service can charge one price on Diode Laser B with Dr. Karim Youssef for Full Body and another for Half Legs. Create Service, Create Resource, and Create Variant add new entries from the same form without leaving it.
Each service and each resource can also carry its own session length in minutes: a general time, plus a separate time for men and for women. When staff book, BOC sizes the visit from the service first, then the resource, then the Default Session Time in Config, so a men’s and a women’s laser session each block the right time on the calendar.
Calendar colors and VIP prices
Every service has a color, and once the Resource switch is on, Calendar color from chooses what colors its visits on the calendar: Service or Resource. A laser clinic can color visits by machine, so CO2 Laser A and Diode Laser B stand out on a busy day, while a salon keeps one color per service. Dental Service has a Use resource color switch that colors both the calendar and the cashier. The Waiting, Pause, In Room, and Done colors, and colors close to them, are reserved by the system, so room status always reads clearly.
Once Resource, Staff, or Variant is on, each price row has a VIP switch. When it is on, that row is the price for VIP customers, and you add the same option again without VIP at the regular price; Dental Service has one VIP switch for the whole service. When staff add an appointment, the staff, resource, and variant lists show the VIP choices separately, so the desk picks the right price for the client in front of them.
The BOC app has Services and Pricing too. From a phone, a manager creates, edits, and deletes service prices, including the Dental Service, with VIP, Treatment Plan, the calendar color source, and the prices-follow choice. Viewing, adding, editing, and deleting prices are separate permissions, so the desk can read prices while a manager sets them.
Dental procedure price list
Dental clinics use Dental Service for their procedure catalog. Its 68 built-in procedures are grouped as Crowns and Bridges, Extraction and Surgery, Root Canal Treatment, Fillings and Restorations, Cleaning and Prevention, Examination and Diagnosis, Cosmetic, Dentures and Prosthetics, Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, Periodontics, and Implants, and Add another adds your own. Enable the treatments your clinic offers and set a price for each one, or use Enable all and Disable all on a whole category.
When Staff and Resource are both on, prices on this service follow Each staff member or Each resource. The dentists or chairs you select share the procedure prices, and Edit price gives one person or one chair its own prices while the list stays the shared price for everyone else. Those prices feed booking, the dental chart, and the Dr. Room, where each procedure is billed on the visit.
How it works in BOC
- Open Services and Pricing. In Business Setup, open the Services and Pricing tab and press Add Service Pricing.
- Choose the service. Pick a service or press Create, then set its color and base price.
- Turn on what changes the price. Switch on Resource, Staff, Variant, or Treatment Plan as the service needs.
- Add price rows. Fill one row per resource, staff member, and variant, turn on VIP for VIP prices, and press Add Another Option for more.
- Pick the calendar color. Set Calendar color from to Service or Resource, then save.
- Price dental procedures. Dental clinics open Dental Service, enable their procedures, and set a price for each.
Who it is for
Clinics A consultation can cost more with a senior doctor, and the desk sees the right price as soon as the doctor is chosen.
Dental clinics Procedures from fillings to implants sit in one price list, shared by your dentists and chairs.
Dermatology and laser Each body area and each laser machine carries its own price, and visits are colored by machine.
Beauty salons Prices change with the stylist and the service version, and VIP clients get their own prices.
Spas Massage and facial prices follow the room and the therapist, with VIP prices for regular guests.
Barbershops A cut or a beard service is priced per barber, so senior barbers charge their own rate.
Physiotherapy Treatment Plan lets patients pay part of a long course at each session, taken off their balance.

Questions
Can I charge different prices for different staff members?
Yes. Turn on Staff for the service and add a price row for each staff member. When the desk books the visit and chooses the staff member, BOC uses that row’s price.
Can a price depend on the machine or room?
Yes. Turn on Resource and give each room, machine, or chair its own price. Rows can combine a resource, a staff member, and a variant.
How do VIP prices work?
Turn on VIP on a price row to make it the VIP price, and keep a regular row for other clients. When staff add an appointment, the VIP choices appear separately in the staff, resource, and variant lists. Dental Service has one VIP switch for the whole service.
What decides the color of a visit on the calendar?
Each service has a color, and once the Resource switch is on, Calendar color from sets whether its visits use the Service or the Resource color. Dental Service uses a Use resource color switch instead.
Does BOC have a dental procedure price list?
Yes. Dental Service lists 68 procedures in twelve groups, from Crowns and Bridges to Implants, and you can add your own. You enable the ones your clinic offers, set a price for each, and choose whether prices follow each staff member or each resource.

Yes. Turn on Treatment Plan for the service. The client pays any amount at each visit, and it is taken off their balance, with due, paid, and remaining on every visit.
Can a service last longer for women than for men?
Yes. Each service and each resource can have a general session time and its own time for men and for women. BOC uses the service’s time first, then the resource’s, then the Default Session Time in Config.
What happens to booked visits if I delete a service?
They stay booked and keep the service's name and price. Before you delete, BOC shows how many upcoming visits use the service. After that, new bookings, prices, and packages can no longer choose it. Restore it any time from Deleted items on the Services and Pricing page. The same applies to resources and variants.
