Discount requests with manager approval
BOC’s discount approvals let staff request a discount on a visit, as a percentage or as the new total, or a percentage on a product sale, while a manager accepts or rejects it from the Discount Requests page, on the web or in the BOC app. The visit keeps its price until the request is accepted, and every decision stays in Discount History with the name of the person who approved or rejected it.
What it does
A discount request starts on the visit. Open the appointment from the calendar, or the payment drawer on the cashier, and go to the Billing & Discount tab. It shows the amount due, paid, and remaining, then Discount Details with the Price, the Discount Percentage, and the Total After Discount: type the percentage, or type the new total and BOC works out the percentage, so the person asking sees both before sending it. Request a Discount sends it for approval, and a discount entered from Edit price in the Dr. Room waits for approval the same way. Product sales use the same flow: tick Request Discount in the Sell product or Buy product window, or use Request a Discount on a product bill, and enter a percentage for the products in that sale.
Every request lands on the Discount Requests page, opened from the percent icon at the top of each screen for roles that approve discounts, and in the notifications inbox under Discount, with a Discount request alert to the approvers. Each pending card shows the customer, the appointment date, the service, the resource, who added it, the branch, the price, the discount percentage, the discount amount, the total after discount, and the discount request date, and product cards add the product, the quantity, and who sold it. Accept and Reject each ask for a confirmation.
Accepting puts the discounted total on the visit, so the cashier’s amount due and remaining follow the approved price. Rejecting keeps the original price, and staff can send a new percentage for a fresh decision. Requests are made while the visit is still open, before it is Done and before any payment is posted, so the price is settled before the money changes hands.
Discount History and who decided
Discount History keeps every decided request as a card marked Approved or Rejected, with Approved by or Rejected by and the same details as the request, including the discount amount and the price after discount for each approved visit. At the top, Before discount and After discount add up the approved discounts only, and the Approved requests and Rejected requests counters show each group for the period with one click. Every accept and reject is also written to the Activity Log with the name of the person who decided.
Show filters narrows both lists by service, staff, branch, gender, and a From and To date, and, when Products & Inventory is on, switches between appointment discounts and product discounts. A manager can see in a minute how much was given away this month, by whom, and on which services.
Who can ask and who can approve
Two separate permissions in team roles keep the decision with the right people. Request Discount lets a receptionist or doctor ask for a discount on a visit or a product sale. Accept Discount and Review lets a manager see pending requests and accept or reject them, and it also opens Discount History. You decide which roles get each one, so a front-desk employee can ask while the owner or branch manager approves.
The BOC app carries the whole flow. Staff request a discount from the visit with the Price, Discount Percentage, and Total After Discount, and managers open Discount Requests to accept or reject, then read Discount History with the same filters, counters, and totals as the web, wherever they are.
How it works in BOC
- Open the visit. From the calendar or the cashier payment drawer, go to the Billing & Discount tab.
- Enter the percentage. Type the Discount Percentage, or the Total After Discount, and check the other figure.
- Send the request. Click Request a Discount. The request appears on Discount Requests and in the inbox.
- Accept or reject. The manager reviews the card and clicks Accept or Reject, then confirms.
- Collect at the cashier. After approval, the cashier shows the discounted amount due.
- Review the history. Open Discount History to see approved and rejected requests and their totals.

Questions
Does BOC have discount approval?
Yes. Staff request a percentage discount on a visit or product sale, and a manager accepts or rejects it on the Discount Requests page. The visit keeps its price until the request is accepted.
Who can approve a discount?
Anyone whose role has the Accept Discount and Review permission. Asking uses a separate permission, Request Discount, so you choose who can ask and who can decide.
Where do managers see pending discounts?
On the Discount Requests page, opened from the percent icon at the top of the screen, and in the notifications inbox under Discount.
Can I give a discount on a product?
Yes. Tick Request Discount in the sell window and enter a percentage. The request goes through the same approval as a visit discount.
What does Discount History show?
Every approved and rejected request with who decided, the total before and after discount for approved requests, and the number of approved and rejected requests. You can filter it by service, staff, branch, gender, and date.
When can a discount be requested?
While the visit is still open. Once a visit is Done or any payment has been posted on it, the price is final, so request the discount before checkout.
Can I approve discounts from my phone?
Yes. The BOC app shows Discount Requests with Accept and Reject for roles that approve discounts, and Discount History with its filters and totals. Staff can also request a discount from the app.
Can staff enter the new price instead of a percentage?
Yes. On a visit, type either the Discount Percentage or the Total After Discount, and BOC fills in the other one. Product sale discounts are entered as a percentage.
