Activity log of every change your team makes

BOC's activity log is the Activity Log tab in Business Setup, an audit trail of who created, updated, or deleted a record, on which screen, for which customer, and when, on the web and in the BOC app. Open any row to see each field that changed, with its value before and after. Filters by event, type, user, and date bring the right line up in seconds, and cashier, payment, and discount rows are always kept.

The Activity Log filtered to the Calendar type: each change on 26 October 2026 shows who made it, from the Calendar or the Dr. Room, how many fields changed, the client, and the exact time, with View and Delete.

What it does

Open Business Setup and choose Activity Log. Rows are grouped by day, newest first. Each row shows Changed by, Where (the screen, such as Calendar, Cashier, Dr. Room, File, or the Discount screen, with how many fields changed), the Event (Created, Updated, or Deleted), the Affected Customer, and the Date & Time to the second, on your country's clock.

Press View on a row to open Activity Details. The top repeats who, where, event, customer, and time, and What changed lists each field with its Before value and its After value side by side. When a receptionist marks a visit done, for example, the row shows Status going from available to done, with her name on it.

The log covers the work of the whole clinic: visits and their status, cashier entries, payments, and expenses, discounts, customer files with notes, prescriptions, medical details, insurance, the dental chart, images, files, and signatures, treatment plans and their payments, services, prices, packages, Booking Settings, roles, and products. BOC also records sign-ins and sign-outs, staff switched on or off in Team, and customers or staff moved to another branch, with the number of upcoming visits that moved with them. The search box finds activity by keyword or by the name of the person who made the change.

Filters that find the right line

The filter button opens four controls. Event picks Created, Updated, or Deleted. Type picks the area of BOC that changed, such as Calendar, Cashier, File, Business Setup, Booking Settings, Contracts, Package Settings, Products & Inventory, or Services and Pricing, from the areas your clinic has used. User lists the people who made changes, plus System for automatic changes. From and To set the dates, and Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, and This month fill them in with one tap. Each active filter shows as a chip you can clear on its own.

Put them together to answer the questions that come up at the desk. Who marked yesterday's visit done? Choose Calendar and yesterday's date, then read Changed by and Affected Customer. Who recorded that cashier entry? Choose Cashier and the day. Who edited the price list this week? Choose Services and Pricing and Last 7 days.

Who can read and delete entries

Two permissions control the log: View Activity Log and Delete Activity Log. Give View to the managers who settle questions about the day, and keep Delete with the owner. People with Delete see a Delete button on each row and confirm Delete this activity? before a row is removed.

Entries about cashier visits, payments, and discounts stay in the log: BOC refuses to delete those rows, even for people with Delete Activity Log. Because each person signs in with their own account, every row carries a real name. For a full copy of your records outside BOC, use Your data, the tab next to Activity Log.

The BOC app for iPhone and Android has the same Activity Log in Business Setup, with Search description, filters for Event, Type, Person, From Date, and To Date, and Activity details with each field's Before and After. A manager can settle a question about a visit or a payment from the phone.
