Rooms, chairs, and devices on every booking

BOC's rooms and devices feature treats each laser, chair, or treatment room as a resource that a visit books next to the staff member and the service. BOC keeps each resource to one open visit per time unless a capacity rule allows more, and booking rules can give a resource its own limit, men-only or women-only places, VIP places, and allowed days and hours. The calendar, the paused list, and the dashboard all show which resource each visit uses, and prices and calendar colors can follow the resource too.

Dr. Karim Youssef's day on the calendar: every card names its room or device after the service, such as Diode Laser B, IPL Room D, or Nd:YAG C.

What it does

A resource is anything a visit occupies besides the staff member. In the demo clinic they are CO2 Laser A, Diode Laser B, Nd:YAG C, IPL Room D, Dental Chair 1, Spa Massage Room, and Facial Suite. Each one has a name and its own color, and it can carry its own session time, with separate times for men and women. You add a room or device with Create next to the resource list in Services and Pricing, giving it a name and a color.

When a service uses resources, Resource is a required field in the booking drawer, right after the service. BOC counts the open visits already on that resource at that time; with the default limit of one, a second booking on the same laser at an overlapping time stops with “This time is full. Choose another time.” In the Select Date & Time window, times when the resource is busy are crossed out.

Every calendar card names its resource after the service, for example “Laser Hair Removal - Diode Laser B”, so the front desk sees at a glance which room or machine each client needs. Session length comes from the service or the resource, by the client's gender when separate times are set, and falls back to the default session time in Config.

Prices and colors by resource

In Business Setup → Services and Pricing, switch on Resource under Include. Each price row then names a resource, and can also name a staff member, a variant such as Full Body or Half Legs, and a VIP price. A session on Diode Laser B can cost more than the same area on another machine. The Create button next to the resource list adds a new room or device with its color without leaving the form.

Calendar color from lets each service choose Service or Resource. With Resource, a laser visit takes the machine's color, so a glance at the day shows how busy each machine is. Each color belongs to one service or one resource, which keeps the calendar easy to read. For a dental service, Prices on this service follow offers Each resource or Each staff member: several chairs can share one list of procedure prices, and Use resource color paints the visits in the chair's color.

Reports and rules per room and device

The dashboard's appointment breakdown has a By Resource table next to By Staff / Doctor and By Service, with visits and totals in each currency for every resource, for example Diode Laser B with 6 visits and 370.50 USD. Visits booked without a resource are grouped as Unassigned. The VIP Performance block lists the top resource for VIP visits. The dashboard can also be filtered to one resource, with an Appointments by Resource chart, the appointment export filters by resource, and staff commission rules in HR can be set for one resource.

Capacity rules in Booking Settings can target a single resource, so a shared room can take two visits at once while every laser stays at one. A rule can also keep a machine for women only or for VIP clients, set its booking interval, or open it only on set days and hours. The Paused Appointments list filters by resource as well, so you can see which machine has sessions waiting to be rebooked and what they are worth. The BOC app for iPhone and Android carries the same booking settings, resource prices and colors, and By Resource figures.

How it works in BOC

  1. Add the resource. In Services and Pricing, press Create next to Resource and enter the name and color of the room or device.
  2. Price by resource. Switch on Resource under Include and add a price row for each room or device, with staff, variant, and VIP if needed.
  3. Choose the calendar color. Set Calendar color from to Resource to show visits in the machine's color.
  4. Book on the resource. When booking, pick the resource after the service. Busy times are crossed out in the booking window.
  5. Read the report. Open the dashboard and check By Resource for visits and income per room or device.
The dashboard's Appointment Breakdown By Staff / Doctor, By Service, and By Resource, with visits and totals for Diode Laser B, Facial Suite, and IPL Room D, above VIP Performance and its top resource.
Paused Appointments filtered to the Facial Suite resource: each card shows the service, the date, the resource, the staff member, and the cost, with View, Postpone, and WhatsApp.

Who it is for

Clinics Consultation rooms and treatment rooms are booked with each visit, so two patients are kept apart in time.

Dental clinics Each dental chair is a resource, and procedure prices can be shared across the selected chairs.

Dermatology and laser Each laser machine has its own color, its own prices, and its own line in the By Resource report.

Beauty salons Facial suites and treatment beds show on every card, so a facial starts when its suite is free.

Spas Massage rooms hold one guest per time, or more with a capacity rule for shared rooms.

Physiotherapy Treatment rooms and devices are booked with the session, and the report shows how much each one is used.

Questions

Can BOC schedule rooms and equipment?

Yes. Each room, chair, or device is a resource in BOC, and a visit books it next to the staff member and the service. The calendar card, the paused list, and the dashboard all name the resource.

How does BOC stop two clients from booking the same laser?

BOC counts the open visits on that resource at that time. With the default limit of one, the second booking stops with “This time is full. Choose another time.” Busy times are also crossed out in the booking window.

Can the price change with the device?

Yes. Switch on Resource under Include in Services and Pricing and set a price row for each resource, combined with staff, variant, and VIP when you need them.

Can the calendar color follow the machine?

Yes. Set Calendar color from to Resource on the service, and its visits take the resource's color.

Can I see income per room or device?

Yes. The dashboard's By Resource table shows visits and totals for each resource, and visits booked without one appear as Unassigned.

Can one room take two clients at the same time?

Yes. Add a Booking Capacity rule for that resource with Max Allowed Per Visit set to 2 or more.

Can a laser have its own hours or women-only places?

Yes. In Booking Settings, a capacity rule or an hours rule can name one resource. Choose Women only or Men only, switch on VIP customers only, set the Booking Interval, or tick the days and hours when that machine can be booked.
