Data export: download your clinic data anytime
BOC's data export is the Your data tab in Business Setup and in the BOC app, where you download everything that belongs to your business whenever you want. Full All-Time Export builds a ZIP with a folder for each customer, holding their records and the actual images, PDFs, and signatures, and Date Range Export gives you Excel and CSV files for any period of up to 365 days. Behind the scenes, BOC also keeps an encrypted, off-site backup of your clinic's records every hour.
What it does
Open Business Setup and choose Your data, on the web or in the BOC app. The page puts it simply: If you leave the system, download everything that belongs to this business. It has two parts, Full All-Time Export and Date Range Export. Each one prepares a ZIP file in the background, shows its progress step by step, and downloads it when it is ready, and the download link stays ready for 24 hours.
Download All Data covers every year of the business. The ZIP opens with a README and a MANIFEST that lists counts, SHA-256 checksums, and the export status: COMPLETE, PARTIAL, or FAILED. BUSINESS holds the branches, services, resources, prices, packages, products, contracts, roles and permissions, and settings. CUSTOMERS has one folder per customer, named with their ID and name, with their appointments, payments, notes, prescriptions, packages, medical details, insurance, dental chart, and signed contracts as CSV files and a files folder inside. STAFF has a folder per staff member, and RAW-DATA has every business table as CSV and JSONL with the original IDs.
Date Range Export takes a From Date and a To Date up to 365 days apart. It builds 00-BOC-Your-Data.xlsx, the same Financial Performance Report workbook as the dashboard’s Download report, covering all branches, plus a README and 16 CSV files: customers, staff, appointments, payments, cashier visits, notes, prescriptions, inventory, services, resources, service options, diseases, prices, branches, settings, and media references. The photos and documents themselves come with the all-time export.
Real files, kept safe
The files inside each customer folder are the actual images, PDFs, and signatures: the before and after photos, signed contracts, and documents your team added to the customer file. You open them on any computer, with or without BOC.
Passwords, API tokens, and other secret keys are left out of every export. If a file was missing when the ZIP was built, MANIFEST.json marks the export PARTIAL and BOC shows Export finished with missing files, so you always know whether the copy is complete. Downloading is read-only: your clinic data stays exactly as it was.
Only people whose role includes Export Data, or Full Access, can download from Your data, so the owner decides who takes a copy of the business.
Beyond the exports you download, BOC backs up every clinic’s records every hour. Each backup is compressed and encrypted before it is uploaded to separate off-site storage, BOC keeps 48 hourly, 30 daily, 12 weekly, and 12 monthly copies, and the BOC team is alerted if a backup runs late.
Which export to use
Use Date Range Export for the accountant, a quarterly review, or a tax year: pick the dates and open the Excel report or the CSV files in any spreadsheet. Use Full All-Time Export when you want a complete copy of the business on your own drive, with every customer's files, for example once a month or before a big change such as a new branch.

- Open Your data. Go to Business Setup and choose the Your data tab.
- Choose the export. Press Download All Data for everything, or fill From Date and To Date for up to 365 days and press Download date range.
- Let BOC prepare the ZIP. BOC builds the file in the background and shows its progress. Large businesses can take a few minutes.
- Open the folders. Unzip the file, read the README, and open CUSTOMERS, STAFF, or the Excel report.
- Store it safely. Keep the ZIP where your business keeps its records, because it holds customer data.

Can I export my clinic data from BOC?
