WhatsApp messages to clients from every file
BOC's WhatsApp buttons open a chat with the client's phone number, country code added, straight from the client file, the client list, the appointment drawer, the paused list, and each prescription, on the web and in the BOC app. For a paused visit or a prescription, the chat opens with the text already written: a reschedule note, or the prescription number with a link to its PDF. Your team reads it, adjusts it if needed, and sends it from the clinic's own WhatsApp.
What it does
The green WhatsApp button sits in the header of each client file with a phone number, next to Move to another branch, and opens a chat with the number saved on the file. In the File list, each row has the same action, “Open WhatsApp chat with this phone number”, so you can reach a client without opening the file. In the appointment drawer, the WhatsApp icon at the bottom left opens the chat for that visit's client, and staff files and the staff list carry the same button for reaching a colleague. Every button builds the number the same way: a number saved with + or 00 is used as it is, and otherwise BOC adds the client's saved country code, or the branch's country when none is saved.
On the Paused Appointments list, the WhatsApp button on each card opens the chat with a message ready to send: “Hello [name], your appointment on [date] for [service] has been paused. Please contact us to reschedule.” The same text is ready at the moment of pausing: when a visit is set to Paused in the appointment drawer, Notify Customer on WhatsApp opens the chat right away. On a prescription, in the client file's Prescriptions tab or in the Dr. Room, WhatsApp opens the chat with “Prescription #” and its number, followed by a link to the prescription PDF that stays valid for seven days.
BOC opens the chat through wa.me, so it starts in WhatsApp or WhatsApp Web on the phone or computer the staff member uses, from the clinic's own number. The message goes out when the staff member presses send, and the conversation stays in that WhatsApp account, where replies arrive as usual.
Messages that already know the visit
Copying a number from a notebook is how a message reaches the wrong person. Here the number comes from the file, and for paused visits the date and the service come from the appointment itself, so the receptionist starts from a correct, complete message. The prescription link carries the whole prescription as a PDF, with each medication, dosage, frequency, duration, and route the doctor wrote, so the patient keeps it on their phone.
Because a person sends each chat, the tone stays personal. The reschedule note is written in English, and the receptionist can rewrite it in the client's language and add two free times, and the doctor can add a line of advice under the prescription link. When the client replies with a time, Postpone on the paused card books it.
WhatsApp in the BOC app
The BOC app for iPhone and Android has WhatsApp buttons in the client file, the client list, the appointment drawer and the appointment form, the paused cards with their ready message, the client file's prescriptions, and the staff list and staff file, all with the country code added. A doctor walking between rooms can message a patient from the phone in their pocket, and the chat opens in the WhatsApp app on that phone.
How it works in BOC
- Open the client. Open the client file, the File list, or the visit on the calendar.
- Press WhatsApp. Press the green WhatsApp button. The chat opens with the client's number.
- Use the ready text. From a paused card or a prescription, the message is already typed with the date and service, or with the prescription link.
- Adjust and send. Read the message, add a line if needed, and press send in WhatsApp.
- Book the answer. When the client replies, press Postpone on the paused card and pick the new time.

Questions
Does BOC work with WhatsApp?
Yes. BOC has WhatsApp buttons in the client file, the File list, the appointment drawer, the paused list, and prescriptions. Each one opens a chat with the client's number, country code included, in WhatsApp or WhatsApp Web.
Does BOC send WhatsApp reminders automatically?
Your team sends each message. BOC opens the chat with the right number, and for paused visits and prescriptions it writes the text, so sending takes one tap in WhatsApp.
Does BOC add the country code to WhatsApp numbers?
Yes. A number saved with + or 00 is used as it is. Otherwise BOC adds the country code saved with the client's number, or the country of the client's branch when none is saved, so the chat opens on the right international number from every button.
Can I send a prescription on WhatsApp?
Yes. The WhatsApp button on a prescription opens the patient's chat with the prescription number and a link to its PDF. The link stays valid for seven days.
Which number do the messages come from?
From the WhatsApp account open on the staff member's phone or computer, usually the clinic's business number. Replies arrive in that same WhatsApp.
What does the paused visit message say?
It reads: “Hello [name], your appointment on [date] for [service] has been paused. Please contact us to reschedule.” It is written in English, and you can edit it in WhatsApp before you send it.
Can I try WhatsApp in the BOC demo?
The public demo shows every WhatsApp button, and pressing one shows a Demo mode notice. In your own BOC account, the buttons open WhatsApp.
